I decided to bring my quotes to my blog to avoid being flagged on Instagram. I was flagged because I (didn’t know that I) credited an author for someone else’s work. If you search the quote you’ll see the same thing, but it is what it is now. I don’t want yo stop sharing quotes, I love writing my own quotes and writing them out to share. I hope you enjoy this quote and those to come. And if you share please tag me, I’d greatly appreciate it.
THE TWO DON’T MIX
I started sharing my life years ago – 2014-15 to be exact through blogging – because I felt like I wasn’t heard. I was going through so much, being judged, but not once did I ever feel embarrassed about it. I’ve always had this, “This is my life. My real life & I know I’m not the only one going through this” mindset. That mindset is what helped me open up about my depression, my relationships and my thoughts in general.
My reasoning for sharing has always been to let others know that they’re not alone. We all feel alone in some of what we go through & that’s not always true. Trust & believe even if it’s not me, there’s somebody out here that feels your pain.
What I had to understand is that OTHER PEOPLES opinions of MY life shouldn’t stop me from sharing. I wholeheartedly enjoy being a person who’s okay with not being okay all the time. Why? Because I know that one day I will be. For now, I’ll continue being open & honest in hopes to help others. Whether it’s to motivate them to share, to finally be okay speaking to a therapist, to ask for help with their kids or to finally let go of their toxic loved ones.
